Now that the weather has actually begun to feel like fall, it is time for cozy knit scarves and hats. I love these by Stephanie of The Bungaloe Market. In fact they are exactly the kind I would be making this fall if my life weren’t so busy at the moment. Thankfully you can get them all right here in her Etsy shop. There are also some beautiful purses also handmade by Stephanie. And both the knit items and handbags are all eco conscience.

I love these pieces by Etsy seller Be In The Moment. I think the necklaces would look great on their own, but would also be really fun layered with a few other necklaces also. The bookmarks, also crafted by the artist, would be a wonderful gift for any book lover. Melissa is yet another one of the fabulous vendors I met last week at the Hester Street Fair. If you want to see her work in person, make sure to visit her at the Hester Street Fair on most weekends.
UPDATE FROM THE ARTIST:
Hester St. Fair is shutting down for the season on Oct. 31 (aside from a week long holiday market which should be awesome but I’m not able to participate in). Starting on Oct. 31 and for most of the Sundays leading up to Christmas, I’ll be at the Kings County General Store which is at Southpaw in Park Slope. It should be a fun market to check out — in addition to vendors, they will have a dj and the bar will be open. I will also be at the (Maker’s) Market at the Can Factory in Gowanus/Park Slope for their artisan/ holiday market on Nov. 28, Dec. 15, and Dec. 16.

Looking to spice up your look even when your hair isn’t cooperating? Try a headband from Jemima Jackman. The fun prints offer a little spice with even the plainest of clothing choices. And to add even more spice, the head bands are reversible. Jemimia is another one of the fabulous vendors I met last week at the Hester Street Fair. If you want to see them in person, make sure to visit her at the Hester Street Fair on most weekends. This Saturday however, visit her and other Etsy sellers at the Chelsea Crafts Fair.

As far as baby gifts go, you can’t go wrong with something personalized and practical! So I think these wood blocks by Tiny Giraffe make the perfect gift. I especially love the first ones pictured above with the Amy Butler patterns on them. These would look so cute on a bookshelf until a baby is old enough to play with them.

While they won’t keep you very warm on a freezing winter night, a Necklush is the perfect accessory for this time of year. It acts as a necklace and a scarf all at the same time. My favorite outfit is jeans, a white tank and a fun bold necklace, but this might be even better! I love all the beautiful colors they are offered in and the endless loops of cotton are so fun!

Not sure what is prettier, the cake or the cake stand, but even the simplest cake would look great on these beautiful cake stands by Etsy seller Oryx and Crake Design. Check out Jee Yeon Bundy’s other designs which range from fruit bowls to birdhouses, all made of wood and cork.

Looking for a way to spice up your walls with something unique, but that won’t cause much damage? Try these inspirational words crafted out of wire by Paul Smotry of Gauge NYC. Your name, the name of your company or anything else you like, will be created out of wire which is attached to the wall by only the two ends of the word. All you have to do is create two small holes in the wall to insert the wire, push the ends in, and you are now the proud owner of a magnificent piece of 3-d art.
