New Everyday

January6

Some of the possibilities you can create from the kit

Everything provided in the kit – like Legos for the fashion set!

A statement necklace or bracelet is great, but you don’t want to make the same statement everyday. Klik Klik is a set of magnetic beads that lets you create a new bracelet or necklace everyday. The kit comes with over 300 magnetic beads in three different shapes that all stick together no matter which way your arrange them. What could be more fun than that? Make a funky necklace for your Saturday night out and then change it up to be more conservative come Monday morning. You are only limited by your imagination, so get creative! And if you aren’t creative, they sell pre-made designs as well.

Smooth Those Cracks

January4

If your home or office is anything the like mine, the pumped up heat must be causing your lips to be dryer than the Sahara. If you want a lip balm that is pretty, organic, offsets carbon emissions and actually works, then All the Better to Kiss You With is your new best friend. Sold by Abe’s Market Natural Goods, this balm with a cute name, will look just as cute in your purse. Plus the three flavors let you switch it up and allow you to have one at your desk, in your purse and next to your bed.

What is your favorite lip balm?

Esty Find of the Week: Catalysst

January3

In an effort to support local vendors, each week I will feature a different Etsy seller from the New York City area.  If you have any favorite sellers, let me know!

Lately I have been getting a little more creative with my hair. Not my haircut so much, but with hair adornments. Everything from sparkly headbands to pretty bobby pins have really been catching my eye. So it is no surprise that this weeks Etsy seller, Catalysst, offers fabulous bobby pins that I have added to my list. Made from vintage buttons and earrings, each set isn’t a perfect match, but they all coordinate adding a little more fun. Her collections of handmade jewelery is also fabulous if you prefer to accessorize with earrings and necklaces.

Busy

December24

It has been a busy few days, amazing how not going to work can make your life even busier than when you are there. So I haven’t had much time for blogging, but I have been writing.

Find out where to get the best accessories for your holiday weekend and for New Years Eve outfit.

What to do this weekend in NYC (there is even a lot to do tomorrow on Christmas Day!)

Literary Library

December14

This DVF case is very pricey, but oh so cute!

I am sooo excited about my new kindle. It is so tiny I can’t wait to bring it on my commute once my case arrives. My commute is pretty short, which is why I rarely bring books with me. Why carry it with me when I can maybe read ten pages each way? But since the Kindle is so light and small, I will definitely start carrying it with me everyday.

Here’s what I am thinking of adding to my library to make my commute feel even shorter:

What will you be curling up with over these upcoming holiday weekends? Whether paper or an e-book, I want to hear.

Party Tips: What to Wear

December8

Yesterday we covered hair and phototaking. Now, what to wear!

The one sleeve lace detail on the Sandra Dress is so fun!

Minna Co UK is my new drool worthy favorite. This London based company is currently offering 20% off and free worldwide shipping. The price tags are pretty high, so the discount definitely helps. Their styles are romantic and sexy at the same time, making them perfect for any holiday event. Want to see her styles in person? Check out Legacy with locations in Manhattan on Thompson Street and in Brooklyn on Atlantic Avenue.

The sexy back on the Serena Dress is a nice surprise.

Stay tuned for more holiday party clothes…
