It has been one year since my first post. I hope you have enjoyed reading as I much I have enjoyed sharing all of my finds with you. I just wanted to say thank you to all of my readers. It was a very busy week, which left little time for blogging. But I promise I will be back in full force this week. Hope it was a good one for you!

And I am back to regularly scheduled blogging. Welcome to the new year! Hoping it is a great one for you. I also want to thank all of you for your support and readership over the last year.

When purchasing presents this year, remember there are plenty of people out there who won’t be receiving any. If your interested in helping out, join Metro Newspaper’s Toys for Tots Drive. Purchase an item from their wish-list and they will mail it to the Metro Office for donation.

You know the saying “when it rains, it pours”?  The last two weeks have gone really well for a bunch of very special people around me. To them I say, CONGRATS!!!  This cake is in your honor. Wishing you all the best with your new responsibilities!

I am so happy for the miners and their families who have been raised to the surface so far after being trapped underground since August 5. The rescue effort continues today to bring the remaining miners of the 33 that were trapped up to the surface. Hopefully the rest of the rescue will continue as smoothly as it has gone overnight.

This Saturday marks the 9th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. In memory of this, the Tribute in Light will be shining from dusk on September 11 until dawn on September 12 from Lower Manhattan.

The Tribute In Light honors those who were lost on September 11 as well as those who worked so hard to get our city through that terrible trial.

You will be able to see it a little bit tonight as they set it up.
