Remember this beautiful couple whose engagement photo-session I shared with you back in the fall? Remember how amazing those photos were? Well they got married at a spectacular wedding a few months ago and the wedding pictures were even better than the engagement shoot. Their photographer Autumn Lin really captured the wonderful day and I just had to share my favorites with you. See even more of them here on Autumn’s blog.
I am a little biased on this one (I’m on the left in the one shoulder dress).
Some of the amazing details that the bride managed to pull off with a very full time job and without a planner.
Congratulations again, Sari and Ben!

Some wedding dresses make more of a statement than others. Not sure if I would have the confidence to pull off this design by Tara LaTour, a finalist in the Brides Magazine Operation Dream Dress Design Contest, but for the bride who does, WOW! The color and silhouette are just amazing. Check out the designs by winner Vanessa Tapia and the other finalists and learn more about the process behind them on the Good Morning America website.
Which one is your favorite?

I recently received such a cute Thank You note from my cousin Jaclyn, whose wedding is coming up this spring. When I asked her where she got them, she told me she made them herself! She orderd the custom stamp from rubberstamp.net, used HP Inkjet Half Fold Note Cards and she just stamps the cards as needed. In addition to having great Thank You notes, she now has the stamp for other wedding related projects or the rest of their lives together. How cute! The note cards themselves are a really nice professional quality, unlike the typical print at home cards, because these do not have any perforated edges.

Michelle Doll Cakes taste as great as they look!
You know the saying “when it rains, it pours”? The last two weeks have gone really well for a bunch of very special people around me. To them I say, CONGRATS!!! This cake is in your honor. Wishing you all the best with your new responsibilities!

Earlier this week I had the exciting opportunity to catch a sneak peak of the 2011 Jenny Yoo Bridal and Bridesmaid collection. In addition to the great dresses, my friend and I (whose September wedding we spent the night planning), got to nibble on wonderful appetizers and drink champagne all while checking out the other great vendors who were at the event as well. From the delicious samples by Michelle Doll Cakes to out of this world table decor by James Abel Events, all set in the beautiful Tribeca Rooftop, it was a really fun night. We did not win any of the raffle prizes, but we both left truly inspired. For me the highlight of the night was meeting Michal and Michelle of Navy and Lavender. Their table displayed so many of their wonderful favors, welcome bags and yummy chocolate coins.

I hope you enjoy the eye candy provided by James Abel. I loved how each table seemed to be coordinated around a bridesmaid dresses. Also of course Jenny Yoo’s fabulous dresses. There are even more pictures here. Sorry they aren’t the best, but they are full of some wonderful details I know you will enjoy.

I love photo books. I think they are a great memento of any occasion. Whether it was a favorite vacation, a wedding or even just a fun weekend drive, they are a beautiful way to display your pictures. While many photo sharing sites offering their own photo book making software, blurb, in my opinion allows you more artistic freedom when designing and has a better quality final product. If you are interested in seeing their actual products in person or learning some great tips for your next book, check out their pop-up store in Soho October 21-31. There will be lots of classes and discussions to improve your next book. Classes are free, but be sure to RSVP to get the classes you really want.
I will be taking Photo Book Tips and Tricks. What will you take?

Attention Brides-to-be! There is a great event this Tuesday, October 12 sponsored by the Jenny Yoo Collection. Twenty-five dollars allows you and your guest entrance to a night filled with wonderful bridal vendors and the chance to view the 2011 Jenny Yoo Bridal Collection before it hits stores in January. Of course there will also be prizes, promotions and giveaways. The event will be held at the Tribeca Rooftop and will feature Navy & Lavender, 4 Eyes Photography, and Michelle Doll Cakes, just to name a few.
This is a great way to see a lot of vendors at once get some great wedding planning ideas.

In a few short weeks I have the pleasure of being the Matron of Honor for a very dear friend. I am so excited for her and her fiance. After seeing their engagement pictures, I think you will be super excited for them also, even if you don’t know them.
Photographer Autumn Lin really captured what a loving and fun couple they are. I can only imagine how amazing their wedding pictures are going to be!

Looking for something a little different for an upcoming birthday party, bridal shower, bachelorette party or just a fun night? How about a private wine tasting by Swirl Events that includes not only the wines, cheese and chocolate for pairings, stemware but also a trained expert who will come to your home or any location in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut to lead the tasting. This is also great idea for your office holiday party or purchase a gift certificate for a holiday gift. If you book before October 31, you will recieve 10% off the Premium Wine Tasting package or 5% off the Classic Wine Tasting package.
Based on my own experience, it is a very fun time!
